Donate a wreath (and/or additional bonus items, i.e. gift certificate) in your company's name.  Community members view the wreaths at the MALL and ONLINE (website information TBA).

This event is open to ALL BUSINESSES (as well as individuals that would like to participate) in the Region 2000 area.  You do NOT have to be a RMA member to participate.

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION OF REGISTRATION IS NOVEMBER 5TH.  Wreaths will be on display near the large Theatre in the River Ridge Mall.  Help us get as many wreaths as possible as we fill the entire hallway.  All proceeds go to the RMA Foundation serving non-profit organizations in Region 2000 for 14 years.  Auction will be held online and bids will be taken until December 10th.  Contact Laurie Gulluscio or Debbie Montgomery             (434-528-1732) or e-mail Laurie@LynchburgRMA.com.

November 3rd - Start Smart Workshop
Location: Central VA Community College, Altavista
5:30 - 7:30 PM

Conducted by the Region 2000 Small Business Development Center.  This seminar will review six factors to consider before starting a business, including legal structures, financial structures, business planning, market research, and methods for deciding if a small business venture is right for you!

Location: Business Development Center, 147 Mill Ridge Rd., Lynchburg, VA

This workshop is being hosted by the Business Development Center, and co-sponosored by the Retail Merchants Association.  Learn about the basics of tax planning, whether you're a new or existing business owner.  Attend this seminar to help prepare your 2010 business tax returns and learn tax planning tips to help reduce your tax burden in 2010 and 2011.  Also learn about recent changes in small business tax law.
